Library Funds
Library Excellence Fund
The Dean of Libraries can use the Library Excellence Fund to make valuable purchases of books, journals, and electronic equipment which don’t fit today’s strict budget requirements. The Dean may also use the funds to supplement professional development opportunities for library faculty, enabling them to provide the best possible expertise and services to WSU students.
Glenn Terrell Endowment for Excellence in Student Services
Like our academic peers, The Libraries at WSU should be equipped with the full range of tools, services and spaces needed to facilitate the way learning occurs today. The Terrell Endowment was established to provide modern group and individual study environments which also integrate the multimedia equipment required for the creation of group project presentations.
Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC)
MASC collections are especially rich in documents and photographs relating to the history and development of the Pacific Northwest. Gifts to this fund are used to purchase new collections and to digitize hundreds of historical documents, which are then used by faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students worldwide for teaching and research. Funds also provide for the preservation and restoration of the many irreplaceable items housed in MASC.
