Biography/History
Washington State University as an institution dates to 1890, when it was authorized by the newly-formed State of Washington.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of five recorded albums of materials significant to Washington State College. Beyond format and their all being found together on shelf, most of the items bear no relationship to each other.
Arrangement
The albums are stored flat. The only ordering is due to size, for ease in storing and protecting the collection.

Acquisition Information
These records were discovered tucked away on MASC shelving in June of 2015; they had been received in MASC sometime in July of 1979 or earlier, but no record of their provenance otherwise exists.
Processing Information
This collection was processed in June, 2015 by University Archivist Mark O'English.
Alternative Form Available
In 1979, these were recorded onto audio cassettes, which were them placed in MASC as CT (Cassette Tape) collections. They are held as CT 6, CT7, CT8, and CT9. Some of these may have since been digitized. The "Cougar Pep Songs" noted above is held there as CT5.
