History:

The Speech Department at Washington State University has offered theatrical productions since the early 1920s. A history can be found in the inventory for another group of theater records, Archives 105.

Additional records of a similar nature are maintained as Archives 42, Archives 105, and Archives 209.

Arrangement note

The records consist of production and administrative files concerning dramtatic plays offered from 1979 through 1986. The reords are organized as two series: Summer Palace and academic year plays. Within each series, the folders are ordered chronologically.

Records of University Theatre were accessioned by the Washington State University Libraries in 1991 (UA91-05).

Processing Information note

The records were processed by April O'Riley in 1998, and the inventory was edited to conform to finding aid format by Lawrence Stark, August, 2001. Four folders of materials (3.1, 29.1, 29.2, and 101.1) were added to the collection in 2011.
