Scope and Contents note

Football has been played at Washington State University since the 1890s. Filming began in the 1920s. Films are held at the University Archives identified by several record series numbers (Archives 29, 188, 204, and 212) in addition to those from 1986-1988. The motion pictures made for coaching purposes during the period from 1986 to 1988 were the last of a long series made with chemical photography film. Beginning in 1989, the games were recorded with video tape.
