Colin Sandwith was a student in the Veterinary program at Washington State College. He was admitted in 1908 and graduated in 1911.
Scope and Content
The collection consists of 48 images from 1909-1911, primarily commercially produced postcards with a very few personal photographs included. The image depict student life and the campus of Washington State College.
Arrangement
The materials have been arranged into an alphabetical set of series. Images within a series are in no particular order. In the final folder is a two-page biographical history of the collector of these images and the donor, written by the donor.

Acquisition Information
The postcards were donated to Washington State University Libraries’ Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) by Robert Guard of Port Townsend, WA on October 27, 2016. Colin Sandwith, who collected the postcards, was Mr. Guard’s maternal grandfather. The images were accessioned as UA2016-02.
Processing Information
The postcards were reorganized and foldered in groups. These have been files as PC 60, filling a hole in the Photo Collections series. What, if anything, was previously located as PC 60 is no longer known; it was removed sometime prior to 2002.
