Biography/History
Dorris Marian Johnson (1911-1969) was the daughter of Iva Clara Dickey Johnson and William Lon Johnson of Colville. Lon Johnson was an attorney, judge, and Lieutenant Governor of Washington. Dorris Johnson earned a bachelor's degree in bacteriology from the University of Washington in 1932, and in 1934 she married Arthur Wilson Edwards (WSU class of 1934).
Scope and Content
This collection consists of a single item: a scrapbook of Dorris Marian Johnson Edwards containing photographs, correspondence, clippings, and memorabilia of her family and friends. It contains materials from 1925 to 1939, encompassing her teen years in Colville, Washington, her time as a student at the University of Washington, and the early years of her marriage to Arthur Wilson Edwards.
