Scope and Content
This collection consists of materials collected and written by Donald G. Godfrey in the course of his research on Clarence Cleveland Dill (1884-1978) and the legislative history of American broadcast media. Senator Dill represented the State of Washington from 1923 to 1935 and co-authored both the Radio Act of 1927 and the Communication Act of 1934. The collection includes printed materials (primarily reproductions of published articles), manuscripts by Godfrey and others (research notes, correspondence, oral history interview transcripts, articles and conference papers), and audio recordings.
