Cage 517
Hans Rosbaud
Associational Copies of Books

Autographed, inscribed, and otherwise annotated books from the library of Hans Rosbaud were acquired with Rosbaud's papers, now coded Cage 423. The associational copies were separated when the papers were arranged, pending appraisal. In October, 1985, the staff of Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections decided to retain the books as part of the collection, as the experience of a researcher using the materials indicated that the books did include relevant information about Rosbaud. The books were assembled as Cage 517 (extension of Cage 423) in January, 1986, by Lawrence Stark.

Number of containers: 6
Linear feet of shelf space: 3

Associational copies from the library of Hans Rosbaud consist of books on many subjects and some printed music scores. Some materials are related to music scores found in the Rosbaud papers (Cage 423). These printed materials occupy six storage cartons, and are in no particular order.

As of June, 2004, this material has been transfered to the MASC book collection for cataloging.
