Biographical/Historical note

The Washington Dairy Women was originally called the Dairy Wives of Washington State, which was formed in 1954. The Washington Dairy Women annually sponsor a Washington State Dairy Ambassador program, which selects a young woman to serve as the official representative of the dairy industry for the state of Washington. Her duties include public demonstrations and educational programs on dairy nutrition.
