Records, 1980-1986

The records of the National Gray "W" organization were transferred anonymously to the Washington State University Archives in 1994 (UA1994-18). The records were processed in October 2008 by University Archivist Mark O'English.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKETCH

Founded in 1980, National Gray W is a social and fund-raising organization (later known as Gray "W" Varsity Club) whose membership is comprised of Washington State University varsity letter winners. Presidents of the organzation in the period covered by these records included Sam Eastman and Jack Fanning.

ARRANGEMENT AND DESCRIPTION

Files are maintained roughly in the order in which they were received. The collection includes documents related to the group's formation, fund raising, and activies, as well as compiled historical information on recipients of WSU athletic letters.
