The Wilson Family
Photographs, 1895-1928

Group Portraits
The Wilson family photographs were donated to the Washington State University Library in November, 1976 by Claude Simpson of Pullman. They were arranged and processed by David Smestad in March, 1978.
BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
The George Wilson family farmed near Colton, Washington. There were four sons: Leon, Robert, Byron and Lewis. Leon attended Whitman College in Walla Walla for two years around 1910. During the summer of 1911 he played baseball for the Chicago White Sox as a pitcher. Neighboring farms near Colton included the Nathan Maynard and the M. A. Ferguson farms.
DESCRIPTION AND ARRANGEMENT
Most of the photographs are from between 1895 and 1913 with a few taken later.
