W.S.U. Photographs 1948-1983

The photographs of the Washington State University Press were donated to the WSU Libraries. Nina Deitz, Stacee Sager, and Jennifer Ross Nazzal, under the supervision of Trevor James Bond, Special Collections Librarian, rekeyed four boxes of file cards to create this present index.

Number of Containers: 137

Arrangement and Description:

This collection comprises the former print and negative file (from the department of Printing, later the Office of University Publications and Printing/WSU Press) of official campus photographs including Bob Bullis, and Norm Nelson, covering academic and extra-curricular activities at Washington State University. The images record a wide range of events, people, and places around the WSU campus. Sporting Events, ROTC ceremonies, and portraits of faculty, figure prominently in the photographs.

This present collection is divided roughly in half with photographic prints mounted on WSU press file cards and their corresponding negatives housed separately. The following index is arranged by subject in alphabetical order with a navigation table present at the top and bottom of each section. To the right of each entry is the date and the photograph number. Please note that a small number of entries in this guide refer to prints and/or negatives that are no longer present in the collection.
