Many indexes are available online, or in print in the Indexes area just behind the computers.
The reference collection includes dictionaries, handbooks, encyclopedias and florae.
Recent issues of most print journals received by the Fischer Agricultural Sciences Branch are shelved alphabetically in the current journals area. Unbound back issues and bound volumes are shelved alphabetically in the journal shelves.
Books are arranged in call number order in two sections: Books classified by Library of Congress call numbers, e.g., SB191.B2 B75, are on the north side. Books purchased by the libraries before the 1960s are in a separate section cataloged with Dewey Decimal call numbers, e.g. 634 W522, are on the southern wall of the library behind the bound journals.
All materials leaving the Fischer Agricultural Sciences Library must be checked out at the Circulation desk. Present your WSU identification card, the Cougar Card, and the item(s) you want to borrow. Return borrowed items to the Circulation desk or, when the library is closed, use the Book Return Box outside the front door.
Books, articles, and other materials that faculty have put on reserve for use by students are held at the Circulation desk. You can search for course reserves via Griffin by instructor name, or course name. Some course reserves are available online (electronic reserves). All items must be checked out at the Circulation desk.

If the book is not in Griffin or Summit, or you need a copy of an article, register for ILLIAD. For more information on borrowing from other libraries, contact Interlibrary Loan Services.
A collection of reprints of scholarly articles on plant pathology, maintained by the Plant Pathology Department, is located in the southeast corner, just beyond the Dewey Decimal monograph section. There is an author index for the collection nearby on the north wall.
