- Consists of correspondence, memoranda and reports regarding issues such as research facilities and programs, curriculum and especially, personnel.
Organizational History:
The College of Agriculture at Washington State University was organized in 1916, and reorganized in 1985 as the College of Agriculture and Home Economics. A large number of departments and programs operate under the scope of the College. The chief officer of the College is the Dean of Agriculture. Further historical information is included with the descriptive lists for the earlier records of the College, Archives 15.
Scope and Contents note
Records of the Dean of the College of Agriculture consists of correspondence, memoranda and reports regarding issues such as research facilities and programs, curriculum and, especially, personnel.
Arrangement note
The Dean of Agriculture's office arranged files so as to reflect the various departments within the College. These appear in the filing order in alphabetical order, from Agricultural Chemistry through Veterinary Medicine (the last named is not a department within the College, but has close ties). A few folders concerning miscellaneous subjects, chiefly salary scales for employees, are located at the very end of this filing order.
