- This collection contains papers of Raymond "Ray" W. Meyer. A substantial portion of this collection consists of his course notes for classes related to horticulture.
Biography/History
Raymond "Ray" W. Meyer was a student at Washington State University during the 1960s. Meyer's focus was in science, especially botany, which led to research interests in pesticides. He was also associated with the WSU Cooperative Extension Service.
Scope and Content
This collection contains papers of Raymond "Ray" W. Meyer. A substantial portion of this collection consists of his course notes for classes related to horticulture. These include materials about weeds, application and effectiveness of pesticides, product information from chemical companies, soil testing statistics, studies and surveys, as well as articles on root rot, forestry, and herbicides. The collection also includes papers concerning licenses for the selling and application of pesticides, Whitman County (WA) soil information, "Field Trip" papers pertaining to Bonner County, Idaho, and Asotin County, Washington, maps, slides, and Additionally, the collection includes projector slides, maps of eastern Washington and northern Idaho, and some of Meyer's WSU class materials.
