Biographical/Historical note
Dr. Ruben Dúran (1924- ), was a Professor for the Department of Plant Pathology at Washington State University from 1958 to 1959 and then again from 1961 to 1989, and currently serves as a Professor Emeritus. Dr. Dúran primarily taught general mycology, lower fungi, and basidiomycetes. Dr. Ruben Dúran is a graduate of WSU.
Scope and Contents note
This collection consists of research and teaching materials, including: articles, photographs, notes, syllabi, lab exercises, and lectures. The collection also contains incoming and outgoing correspondence, as well as papers pertaining to Dr. Dúran's involvement with Chicano organizations and with affirmative action policies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
