Biography/History
Edward Morgan Forster (1879-1970) was an English novelist, and Bloomsbury Group member, who wrote five novels and several short stories throughout his career. He received his undergraduate education at Kings College, Cambridge, and was a frequent traveler to India, Egypt, and France.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of two mimeographed transcripts (original and revised) of a radio broadcast first compiled and recorded August 11, 1965, and transmitted July 29, 1970. The broadcast version includes commentary by William Plomer, Leonard Woolf, Professor Sprott, Patrick Wilkinson and Joe Ackerly, concerning the life and career of writer E. M. Forster. The radio program was compiled and narrated by Frederick Laws and produced and edited by Robert Pocock.
