Scope and Content

Donald L. Masson's papers consist of consultation reports and drafts of articles, bulletins, and an unfinished book, all relating to mining engineering. Most mining reports are relative to mineral examinations in the inland Northwest. The writings stress metallurgical and "hard rock" mining; these were composed during the years Masson was at Washington State University.
