Biography/History
J.N. Cardwell and Sons, later Cardwell's, was a general merchandise store in Pomeroy, WA. It was established in 1900 and continuously operated by the Cardwell family until 1972.
Scope and Content
This collection consists of business records from the period 1900-1912: 4 volumes including accounts, daybooks, and inventory of dry goods sold to Cardwell and Sons by Fred J. Elsensohn and Co., August 29, 1909. It also includes a company history, "Cardwell's: Pomeroy's Greatest Store" by Bill and Ray Cardwell (2010).
